So I guess you could say I've been "blog stalking" for the past... um... hour. I always knew there were more people out there that I knew but couldn't ever figure out how to find them. I found some and found that I am way jealous of some of the layouts and backgrounds. I have to find a way to update my title... loving the new computer, not loving the fact that I can't use some of my old programs.
If I "blog-stalked" you over here- I am glad you are here! I would love to hear from you!

Passie to the Ducks
We went to Sconyers last night for dinner.
Yummy! It is one of Bucky and Maggie's favorite places.
However, besides eating loads of great BBQ and feeding the ducks bread. Maggie decided to feed the ducks this..
Needless to say, they didn't want it and it was left floating in the pond.

SNOW!
Yes... we are home and it SNOWED!!! This is Friday afternoon/night when it started....
That was as close to it as Maggie got all weekend.
Saturday morning looked like this...
If you recall... that is the SAME reaction she has to sand. Hmmm... our vacation destinations are becoming severly limited.
Well, at least Bucky and I enjoyed it!

Dear Parents,
Dear Parents,
I don't believe many of you are aware of this, you have the power to intimadate many teachers, the power to take everything one holds dear and make us believe we are incompetent and stupid. Please take this into consideration when speaking to us, another adult, keep in mind.
We are aware that you are your child's advocate- we are too. We are aware that you love your child- we do too. We are aware you want what is best for your child- we want too.
Please express your concerns, comments, and questions in a non-threatening manner. You don't want to be threaten, we don't either. Please don't yell at us, we don't yell at you. Please don't believe everything your child tells you about us, we won't believe everything they tell us about you.
We are partners in their education. Just like we rely on you to send them to school with their needed supplies, food, and a good night's rest. Please rely on us to teach them- this includes social and emotional behaviors. Kids may not come with a parent handbook, but teachers have read TONS of student needs based textbooks!
Your baby is no longer a baby. They are a child. A school age child that has got to start doing things for themself. A child that must learn how to make good decisions and realize there are consequences for poor ones. A child that must function in a room with other children who have the right to learn.
We, the teachers, spend hours beyond requirements; money WAY beyond our pay; and love beyond the constraints of our hearts to teach your child. Please question not what we do, but how you can support us in our cause. Please do not fight with us, but for us so that we may better improve your child's education. And please remember, at one time, you were a student that had to be taught. The lessons may have been tough but they taught you- they made you who you are today. Are you not successful? Do you not think your life is good? For your child to be at your level in the future or even surpass it- you need to let us do our job.
